Bu Dang Commune was established under Resolution No. 1662/NQ-UBTVQH15 of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units of Dong Nai Province in 2025 on the basis of merging 03 commune-level administrative units: Minh Hung Commune, Doan Ket Commune and Duc Phong Town. Bu Dang Commune currently has a total area of over 156km2, a population of over 30,000 people, with 18 ethnic groups living there.
